KIHON KATA SONO ICHI
Kihon Sono Ichi is a basic Kata for the student to improve
positioning and stances with blocking or striking techniques.
In this Kata you will execute Gedan Barai (Lower Block) and Chudan Gyaku Tsuki
(Middle Punch) and the stance is Zenkutsu
Dachi (Front or Forward Stance). If the student uses his/her imagination he/she,
can figure out for themselves Kihon Sono Ni and Kihon Sono San. The foot
movements are the same in all 3 Kihon Katas and all you have to do is change the
blocking.
1) Kihon Sono Ichi: Lower Bock and High Punch
2) Kihon Sono Ni: Middle Bock and Middle Punch
3) Kihon Sono San: High Bock and Low Punch
