The 1st World Taekwondo Championships organized by the
Korea Taekwondo Association were held at the Kukkiwon in Seoul with
participation of 200 competitors and officials from 19 countries. They were
Austria, Brunei, Canada, Chinese Taipei, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Hong
Kong, Ivory Coast, Khmer, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Japan, Singapore,
Uganda, U.S.A., West Germany and Korea.
